2. Required Documents for Visa Application
If you are a US citizen
and are applying for a visa to stay up to 90 days for the purposes of
business or any professional capacity, you need to submit the following
documents:
- A signed US passport with remaining validity of at least 6 months and one blank visa page.
- A completed and signed Application for visa
- A recent passport color photo attached on the application form
- $45.00 Visa Processing Fee.
All fees can be paid by Cash or Money Order.
All Money Orders should
be made payable to The Korean Consulate.
- If you are
applying by mail you will have to include a prepaid postage return envelope (USPS Express mail, Fedex or similar kind of overnight
mail)
with complete address
for the passport to be returned.
- A Letter from the sponsoring Company
indicating as follows:
- The specific purpose or nature of the
trip - A
contact in Korea and their complete address and telephone number
- intended period of the applicant¡¯s stay with approximate entry and exit dates
- This office will not make
copies, if you need original documents, please bring the original and one
copy.
- This office is not responsible for the
loss of any documents including passports.

If you are a US citizen and are a tourist staying in Korea for less than 30 days no visa is required.
If you are a US citizen and are applying
for a visa to stay up to 90 days for tourism, visiting friends and/or
relatives, goodwill match, events,conference, cultural art, training, religious
ceremony or academic data-gathering you need to submit the following documents:
- A signed US passport with remaining validity of at least 6 months and one blank visa page.
- A completed and signed Application for visa
- A recent passport color photo attached on the application form
- $45.00 Visa Processing Fee.

Military Dependents or Military Contracted Employee Agreement Visa [A-3]
|
If you are a US citizen
and are a Military Dependent who needs a visa and will be staying less
then 90 days you should apply for a Visitors or Tourism Visa[C-3].
If you are a US citizen and are a Military Contracted
Employee and need a visa and will be staying less than 90 days you should apply
for a Business Visa[C-2].
If you are a US citizen and are a
Military Dependent or a Military Contracted Employees and will be staying
longer than 90 days you will need to apply for the Agreement Visa. If you are a US citizen and are applying for the Agreement
Visa you will need to submit the following documents:
- A signed US passport with remaining validity of at least 6 months and one blank visa page.
- A completed and signed Application for visa
- A recent passport color photo attached on the application form
- No Visa Processing Fee.
- If you are
applying by mail you will have to include a prepaid postage return envelope (USPS Express mail, Fedex or similar kind of overnight
mail)
with complete address
for the passport to be returned.
- If
you are applying for Military Dependents:

copy of the military orders of the sponsor (Last name has to be the same as applicant) -

If you are applying for Military
Contracted Employees all we needs: -

of your Travel Orders issued by an Armed Forces Department - A copy of your

a US citizen and are applying for a visa of Dependent Families, you have to be a spouse of the
person who needs to apply for a Long-Term Visa and, or be a child as a

In order for you to get
a Confirmation of Visa Issuance Number, the person who invited you, to stay longer than
90 days, needs to apply for this document in Korea on your behalf.
All
