This office does not affix the Consular Seals on the following documents:

1. Contracts such as Joint-Venture, Construction, and Commission or Sponsor     Agreements, Activity Reports of the Branch Offices, Modification of the     Construction Contracts, Notice of the Bid Awards, Estimation of Construction     Works, and Production Permits

The following documents shall bear the Consular Seals when requested:

1. Official Documents issued by the Government in which the Consulate is located.

2. This office shall only affix the Consular Seal when it is determined to be  appropriate.

3. When requesting the affixation of the Consular Seals on the Certificates of Degree,     Transcripts, the Technician Certificates, please provide this office with the issuer's     phone and fax numbers as well as the purpose of the documents and the  organization to which the document will be submitted.

 To Affix Consular Seal:

1. Each document requiring the Consular Seal must first be notarized.

2. The Notary Public has to attach the Apostille issued by the Secretary of State.

3. After the Notary Public seal (not the rubber stamp currently in use in some states)     has been imprinted, make a photostatic copy of the document. This copy will be  retained in the Consulate files.

4. Forward both the original document to which you want the Consular Seal affixed     and the photostatic copy of that document to the Consulate at the above address,     together with:

    a. A $2.00 fee for each Consular Seal requested,
           All Fees can be paid by Cash or Money Order. All Money Orders should be made payable to : The Korean Consulate.

    b. A cover letter requesting the Consular Seal, stating the reason for such request,         and

    c. A self-addressed, stamped or prepaid envelope for return of the original  document to you.

Please note that affixing the Consular Seal to a document requires space on the document to which it is to be affixed as one would allow space for a signature line or block, or an acknowledgement by a Notary Public.

All the above mentioned documents have to be issued by the organizations/local governments located in the jurisdiction of this Consulate (i.e. the State of Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Arkansas, & Mississippi)
